On Wednesday, we successfully held the MSMA 2025 Roadshow at the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC). This event marked a significant milestone in our journey towards advancing productivity, fostering innovation, and building strategic partnerships for the upcoming MSMA 2025.
At the heart of the MSMA 2025 Roadshow was the much-anticipated Tea Talk session, titled:” Are Malaysia’s Smart Factories Ready for the Global Market?“
This thought-providing panel discussion brought together public and private sector leaders to explore how Malaysia’s smart manufacturing ecosystem is evolving in response to global competitiveness, digital disruption, and Industry 4.0 expectations.
Moderated by Mr. Yap, the conversation featured a distinguished panel:
🔹 Dr. Halimahton, Director, Modern Management and Technology Division, MPC
🔹 Mr. KK Pang, Managing Director, FSBM MES Elite
🔹 Mr. Tyreal, Sales Director, Monitor ERP System SEA
🔹 Dr. Chua Wen Shyan, Head of Malaysian Smart Factory 4.0, SHRDC
The discussion centrered on how smart factories are no longer a distant vision, but a current necessity, MPC emphasized that productivity is the foundation of any meaningful smart transformation – without which automation and technology alone cannot drive sustainable results.
Our solution providers showcased real-life applications of smart technologies, from automation and data analytics to system integration, driving efficiency, agility, and global competitiveness.
What made the session especially impactful was the shared understanding that digital tools alone are not the answer – transformation happens when technology, people, and strategy align. The panelists engaged in meaningful conversation about bridging the gap between digital adoption and business outcomes, including how to manage resistance to change, measure ROI, and ensure long-term sustainability.
The discussion affirmed that Malaysian manufacturers are well on the path to becoming globally competitive smart factories, with the right partnerships, leadership vision, and readiness to adapt. The audience contributed with thoughtful questions, further fueling an atmosphere of collaboration and co-learning.
Following the session, participants engaged in an interactive booth networking session, where solution providers had the opportunity to showcase their offerings and services directly to attendees. This provided a valuable platform for sharing insights, exploring synergies, and discussing real-world applications.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to MPC for their support, and to all solution providers and participants for contributing to the success of the event. Together, we are shaping a more innovative, efficient, and competitive Malaysia.
