11th August 2022, Penang –
The Road Ahead with Industry4wrd Roadshow has landed in Penang this time. About
80 SMEs from various economic sectors have joined to network, learn, and get
updates from relevant government agencies and solution providers.
The agencies involved in the
event are MITI, MIDA, MPC, and MIDF. They are there to share details about the
Industry4wrd programmes, its application process, and how SMEs can be
beneficial from it. This event aims to improve the SMEs’ awareness of Industry
4.0, including the Industy4wrd Readiness Assessment (RA) and Intervention Fund
(IF) programmes.
Manufacturers who fulfilled
the criteria are encouraged to take advantage of the Industry4wrd Intervention
Fund by MITI, which subsidizes the Industry 4.0 project with up to RM500,000.
SMEs can also apply for other incentives, such as the Rise4wrd programme, which
offers fully funded training up to RM25,000 to upskill & reskills their
talent for the Smart Manufacturing journey.

drivers – Dr. Chua representing SHRDC has shared how SMEs can prepare and equip
their employees with relevant knowledge and skills to adopt Industry 4.0 by
taking advantage of the Rise4wrd programme.
Ms. Stephanie Sim from Emerging EPC has shared its company’s expertise
in IIOT & capability of offering customizable solutions that can be
tailored to suit a SMEs needs, including both durable hardware and reliable
software.
