27th July, 2022, Johor Bahru – The Road Ahead with Industry4wrd touched down at Johor Bahru. THe participation rate has been utmost encouraging where more than 150 SMEs from various economic sectors came for the briefing and support from relevant government agencies and solution providers.

MITI, MIDA, MPC and MIDF shared in details the Industry4wrd programmes, eligibility to apply, how to apply and what can SME benefit from it. It was reported that the Industry4wrd Intervention Fund which subsidise Industry 4.0 project with a matching grant of 70 (Government) : 30 (Applicants) up to RM 500,000 is still available. Manufacturers especially SMEs are urged to immediately take advantage of Industry4wrd Readiness Assessment Programmes to assess operational status and opportunities in embarking into smart manufacturing.

2 Smart4wrd Industry 4.0 drivers shared their Industry 4.0 project experience with the participants. Mr. Tyreal Tai from Monitor ERP and Mr. Eric from Emerging EPC both given the assurance that SMEs need not to be big to adopt Industry 4.0. There are many small size SMEs are already implementing ERP and IIOT generating and processing data to make informed decisions.
