Smart4wrd led a delegation of 12 Industry4wrd Readiness Assessment Programme manufacturers to Industry Transformation Asia Pacific (ITAP) 2022 Expo, Singapore. Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC – a HANNOVER MESSE event (ITAP) is a strategic platform that evolves with the industry and is shaped by the leaders and experts in support of their transformative initiatives; a journey that is necessary and made possible by the process of digitalisation by Industry 4.0.
The delegates are from Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, and as far as Kuching, Sarawak in diverse industries, including Food and Beverages, Metal Fabrication, Packaging & Printing, and Furniture. Smart4wrd delegates maximise their three (3) days visit to explore Industry 4.0 solutions that are relevant to them and can support their Smart Manufacturing journey.
Each of the delegates had an average of 10 business meetings with technology partners. Some of them have shortlisted potential technology partners, including Malaysian solutions providers who also exhibiting at the expo.
Smart4wrd delegates had the opportunity to have round table discussions among themselves on their Industry4wrd programme and smart manufacturing journey experiences. “Many of our delegates have expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn from each other, giving advices and tips on what to do in the process of Industry4wrd Intervention Fund application, how to select a good technology partner, and how to get the buy-in from employees in the smart manufacturing mission.” Says Keng Teck – Programme Director of Smart4wrd.
Cik Suwaibah Ghaffar – General Manager for Innovation of Markaids Sdn Bhd was invited to share her company’s Smart Manufacturing Journey experience at the Country Focus Presentation on Malaysia titled Industry 4.0: Transforming Malaysia into Asia’s Future Manufacturing Powerhouse. Eu Harn from Auk Industries joined her, and Mr. Yap Keng Teck moderated the session. Smart4wrd ends its three (3) days business visit with a field trip to DHL and Singapore Polytechnic to experience the real-life application of industry 4.0 technology.
