TEmpowering Terengganu’s Economic Potential: Insights from the MIDF Automation & Digital Forum

During the recent presentation of the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK 12), the Prime Minister underscored the significance of the Kertih Biopolymer Park, acknowledging it as a pivotal sector for the nation’s economic advancement. This acknowledgment not only reflects the importance of Terengganu’s achievements but also highlights its role in contributing to the nation’s progress. To ensure the success of these crucial economic endeavors, we must nurture the growth of our Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), enhance their capacity, and upgrade their capabilities. Equally vital is our commitment to reskilling and upskilling our workforce. However, the linchpin for sustained growth lies in our ability to swiftly and effectively embrace automation and digital technology. Today, we embark on this momentous journey together, united by a shared purpose and a resolute determination to revolutionize the manufacturing landscape in Malaysia. Together, we aspire to build a new future characterized by innovation, resilience, and prosperity. The 4th series of the Automation and Digital Forum (Eastern Region) held on September 12th, organized collaboratively by MIDF, BIZSPHERE, and smart4wrd, exceeded expectations with its high level of engagement. Participants actively posed questions and offered valuable suggestions on how to elevate SMEs to the next level.
